General Sports Book Rules
- These sports wagering house rules (“House Rules”) apply to all retail and mobile race sports wagers placed in Nevada through race and sports books operated by BetMGM.
- Patrons are responsible for understanding these House Rules. By placing a wager, patron acknowledges they have read and understand these House Rules affecting that wager.

- Odds are subject to change. Wagers may be accepted at other than the posted odds, please check your ticket/betslip prior to confirming and accepting the wager.
- BetMGM will determine minimum and maximum wager amounts per patron on all events.
- BetMGM reserves the right to accept, refuse, or limit any wager prior to its acceptance.
- BetMGM does all that we can to avoid errors, however we cannot accept responsibility for obvious errors, also referred to as palpable errors, or omissions in respect of the publishing, or marking of odds, spreads, or results that occur despite our every effort to ensure total accuracy.
A non-exhaustive list of “obvious errors” is as follows:
- The odds/terms of a wager have been misquoted due to a technical or human error.
- The odds/terms offered are materially different from those available in the general market at the time the wager was placed.
- The odds/terms offered at the time the wager is placed are clearly incorrect given the probability of the event occurring.
- Where wagers continued to be accepted on a game or market should have been suspended, including where the relevant game or market is in progress.
- Where an error to the amount of winnings/returns is a result of a technical or human input error.
- Where markets are created and graded for an event or matchup that does not take place.
- Wagers offered or placed on markets where participants are incorrectly designated or listed in the incorrect order (e.g., Home Team listed as Away)
- Wagers placed and/or accepted while the sportsbook was encountering mechanical, technical, or systemic problems, which would not have been accepted but for that problem
BetMGM prohibits parlay wagers that include two or more outcomes that are, or could turn out to be, related (e.g., Team X to win 7-0 and Team X to win the game). We take all necessary steps to prevent acceptance of these prohibited parlay wagers. However, if such a parlay wager is placed, we reserve the right, subject to approval from the Nevada Gaming Control Board, to declare void some or all parts of the parlay wager that includes the related outcomes at odds that do not account for the related contingency. This provision does not apply to parlay wagers placed through Same Game Parlay or parlay wagers that are explicitly identified as special offerings.
BetMGM reserves the right to cancel or void wagers accepted with “obvious errors” with the approval of the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
BetMGM reserves the right to hold or lock tickets and or accounts for a period of time while seeking resolution to “obvious errors.”
BetMGM will retain a record of all point spreads, odds, race results, final scores, and related wagering proposition statistics and outcomes for 180 days after the events conclusion in the case of an “obvious error.”
- Wagers placed after results are known
If a wager is accepted after an event, game, market, match has finished, the wager will be void even if a valid ticket/betslip receipt is issued.
- Patrons are responsible for verifying the information on the wagering ticket is accurate before leaving the window or submitting a wager on a kiosk or mobile application.Tickets go as written and will not be altered or voided except at the discretion of management prior to the start of the event.
Please check your betslip for accuracy before confirming your wager on the kiosk. Once your wager is accepted and confirmed on the kiosk, all bets are final.
- Tickets will not be altered or voided prior to the start of an event except at the discretion of management and with the approval of both parties.
- Once both parties accept a wager, tickets will not be altered or voided after an event officially begins.
- Tickets will not be altered or voided prior to the start of an event except at the discretion of management and with the approval of both parties.
- For wagering purposes, the winner of an event, game, or market, will be determined at the date and time of the event, game, or markets conclusion. BetMGM does not recognize suspended games, protests, overturned decisions, result changes, etc. made by the governing body after the date of the events conclusion. BetMGM, at its sole discretion, may delay posting an event, game, or market if the events outcome, result, or score is questioned or challenged.
On all future event wagers involving a recognized sports organization; i.e. Super Bowl, World Series, etc., the winner as determined by the league commissioner, chairman, or other authoritative officer at the conclusion of said event will also be declared the winner for betting purposes.
On draft markets in all sports, wagers will be settled on the official draft order listed on the official website for the league’s governing body. For the purposes of over/under wagers, undrafted players will be assigned a number one above that of the last draft pick.
For Football, Mr. Irrelevant is the term given to the last player selected in the draft. The term 'specialist' refers to kickers, punters and long snappers only, and does not include kickoff or punt returners.
Pre-Draft, players are assigned to one playing position by the BetMGM Sports Book based on their probable playing position. The position that players are listed as on the official website and the position that they played in College are irrelevant, as these can often change, and final positions are not decided until a player reaches their destination team. Once a position assignment has been made by the BetMGM Sports Book it is final. Others may be added to the market upon request, as long as they are not already assigned to another position.
In two-way match-up proposition wagers, specified player, team or animal must start for action or wager is refunded. In the event that any participant “starts” but fails to finish for any reason, the opponent shall be deemed the winner for betting purposes.
For events where all participants are not listed and there is not a Field option, all bets are action. If a customer wishes to request the BetMGM Sports Book to offer lines on a new participant, they can do so by requesting at the window. Where possible the BetMGM Sports Book will do so within a reasonable timeframe.
All future wagers are “action” as long as winner is officially declared, unless otherwise posted or noted on printed
media.

- For all wagers, House Rules apply unless stipulated otherwise on wagering information sheets or information icon. Wagering information sheet or icon rules will prevail over corresponding House Rules. For wagers not specifically addressed in the House Rules, wagering information sheet or icon rules will apply.
- If a player or team, who was not offered as a selection due to state law or regulation that prohibits wagering on that participant, wins an outright market that has a single official winner, then all bets on that specific market will be cancelled.
- Winning tickets are valid for 365 days from the date of the event. Kiosk vouchers are valid for 180 days from the date of issuance.
- A valid, original wagering ticket must be presented to receive payment. BetMGM is not responsible for lost, stolen, altered, or unreadable wagering tickets. BetMGM may honor such tickets, in its sole discretion, upon receipt of satisfactory supporting documentation or information of a ticket’s rightful owner. BetMGM reserves the right to take up to 120 days from the event date or date of claim to make this decision
